"A Day in Amana" photo project
held September 23, 2005
Photographers documented the Amana villages today with photographs of the people and places of the Amana Colonies to add to the museum collection! The only rule was the photographs must be taken in the Amana Colonies on September 23.

Showing to the left are a few examples of photographs submitted for the project.

We plan to present some of these images as a program or exhibit at some later time.

A note about the date: on September 23, 1855 the Inspirationist settlement in Iowa was named "Amana," a Biblical name from the Song of Solomon.
