About the Amana Heritage Society
The Amana Heritage Society, established in 1968, is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving Amana's past and cultural heritage for the community and its descendants. Amana's story is told to visitors at the Amana Heritage Museum, the Communal Kitchen and Cooper Shop Museum, the Amana Community Church Museum, the Communal Agriculture Museum, Homestead Store Museum, the Homestead Blacksmith Shop and the High Amana General Store.

The Society actively identifies, collects, preserves and displays artifacts, books, photographs and documents of Amana's past and present. The Amana Heritage Society Sponsors special programs and events with other community groups to help foster an awareness of Amana's heritage.

Let your Heritage not be lost...

Gather the lost and the hidden
And preserve it for thy Children"
